Çalışanların depresyon düzeylerinin tükenmişlik ve iş doyumu ile ilişkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı perakende mağazacılık sektöründe çalışanların depresyon düzeylerini inceleyerek, tükenmişlik ve iş doyumunun depresyon ile olan ilişkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu kapsamda araştırma İstanbul ilinde bulunan alışveriş merkezlerinde mağazacılık sektöründe çalışan 18-65 yaş arasında toplam 400 katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılara kartopu örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma verileri demografik bilgi formu, Beck depresyon envanteri, Maslach tükenmişlik ölçeği ve Minnesota doyum ölçeği kullanılarak anket yoluyla yüz yüze olacak şekilde toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ise SPSS-22 istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılan sonuçlara göre depresyon ile çalışma şekli, günlük çalışma saati, mevcut iş yerinde çalışma süresi, gelir, iş yeri memnuniyeti ve alkol değişkenleri arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Tükenmişlik ile cinsiyet, yaş, çalışma şekli, meslekte çalışılan süre, iş yeri memnuniyeti, mevcut iş yerinde çalışma süresi, gelir ve sigara kullanımı arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. İş doyumu ile çalışma şekli, meslekte çalışılan süre, mevcut iş yerinde çalışma süresi, gelir ve iş yeri memnuniyeti arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan korelasyon analizine göre ise çalışanların depresyon düzeyleri ile tükenmişlik alt boyutları olan duygusal tükenme, duyarsızlaşma, kişisel başarı boyutları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı, iş doyumu arasında ise negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan regresyon analizine göre de çalışanların tükenmişlik ve iş doyumu düzeylerinin depresyon üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The main purpose of this research is to examine the depression levels of employees in the retail industry and to reveal the relationship between burnout and job satisfaction and depression. In this context, the research was conducted with a total of 400 participants between the ages of 18 and 65 working in the retail sector in shopping malls in Istanbul. Participants were reached using the snowball sampling method. Research data were collected face-to-face through a survey using the demographic information form, Beck depression inventory, Maslach burnout scale and Minnesota satisfaction scale. SPSS-22 statistical program was used to analyze the data. According to the results, a significant difference was found between depression and the variables of working style, daily working hours, working hours at the current workplace, income, workplace satisfaction and alcohol. A significant difference was found between burnout and gender, age, working style, length of time in the profession, workplace satisfaction, working hours at the current workplace, income and smoking. A significant difference was found between job satisfaction and working style, length of time working in the profession, length of time working in the current workplace, income and workplace satisfaction. According to the correlation analysis, a positive significant relationship was found between the depression levels of the employees and the burnout sub-dimensions of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment, and a negative significant relationship was found between job satisfaction. In addition, according to the regression analysis, it was concluded that employees' burnout and job satisfaction levels had a significant effect on depression.
