Özet
Unemployment remains a critical issue for policymakers and economists, shaped by dynamic and interconnected factors. This study uses bibliometric analysis of 2,504 papers to explore unemployment determinants, highlighting an overlooked link between technological advancements and unemployment. While prior research emphasizes macroeconomic factors and labor market institutions, it underestimates the disruptive impact of technologies like automation, AI, and ICT. These innovations, while boosting productivity and economic growth, also contribute to job displacement, reshaping global labor markets. To mitigate these effects, a balanced approach is needed, including investment in high-skill jobs, retraining programs, and regulatory frameworks. Strategic policy interventions are crucial to ensure inclusive economic growth amid technological disruption. This paper offers valuable insights for policymakers and business leaders on addressing unemployment’s multifaceted nature and fostering sustainable development.
