Özet
Prompt mühendisliği, büyük dil modellerinin istenen sonuçları üretmesini sağlamak
amacıyla tasarlanan özel girişler oluşturma pratiğidir. Büyük Dil Modelleri (Large
Language Models, LLMs), büyük miktarda metin veri setleri üzerinde eğitilmiş, insan
dilini anlama ve üretme yeteneği geliştiren yapay zekâ modelleri olarak
özetlenmektedir. Büyük Dil Modelleri (LLM’ler), ChatGPT'nin piyasaya
sürülmesinden bu yana önemli başarılar elde etmiştir. Özetleme ve duygu analizi gibi
geleneksel doğal dil görevlerinin yanı sıra, LLM’lerin kod oluşturma, insan-bilgisayar
etkileşimi ve matematik problemlerini çözme gibi uygulamalara daha yakın olan pek
çok alanda etkili olduğu kanıtlanmıştır. Restoran işletmeciliği bağlamında, müşteri
memnuniyeti, operasyonel verimlilik ve sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerinin, yapay zekâ
destekli teknolojiler aracılığıyla iyileştirilmesine yönelik bir boşluk bulunmaktadır. Bu
çalışmanın amacı, prompt mühendisliğinin restoran işletmeciliğinde rezervasyon
yönetimi, müşteri ilişkileri, menü tasarımı, personel eğitimi ve operasyonel verimlilik
gibi alanlardaki uygulamalarını incelemek ve bu teknolojinin sektöre
kazandırabileceği yenilikçi çözümleri ile gelecekteki potansiyel etkilerini ortaya
koymaktır. Bu çalışmada literatür incelemesi ve sektör uygulamaları analiz edilmiş,
ChatGPT’ye belirli promptlar verilerek çıktılar alınmış ve prompt mühendisliğinin
restoran sektöründeki potansiyel kullanım alanları değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak
prompt mühendisliği ile ChatGPT gibi chatbotlara belli başlı prompt kalıpları
(istenilen alanda bilgi transferi sağlandığında) restoran sektöründe uygulanabileceği
anlaşılmıştır. Bu sayede restoranlar, menülerini kişiselleştirebilir, talep tahmini
gerçekleştirebilir, sürdürülebilir tedarik zinciri ve dijital müşteri etkileşimlerini
optimize edebilirler.
Prompt engineering is the practice of creating custom inputs designed to ensure that large language models produce the desired results. Large language models (LLMs) are artificial intelligence models trained on extensive text datasets that develop the ability to understand and produce human language. LLMs have achieved significant success since the launch of ChatGPT. Beyond traditional natural language tasks such as summarization and sentiment analysis, LLMs have proven effective in various application areas, including code generation, human-computer interaction, and solving mathematical problems. In the context of restaurant management, there is an opportunity to enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and sustainability goals through AI-enabled technologies. This study aims to examine the applications of prompt engineering in areas such as reservation management, customer relations, menu design, staff training, and operational efficiency within restaurant management. The study also aims to reveal the innovative solutions that this technology can bring to the sector and its potential future impacts. Through literature reviews and analysis of industry applications, outputs were obtained by providing specific prompts to ChatGPT. The potential usage areas of prompt engineering in the restaurant sector were evaluated. Overall, it was found that certain prompt patterns, when correctly applied, can be effectively used in chatbots like ChatGPT within the restaurant industry. This approach allows restaurants to personalize menus, perform demand forecasts, optimize sustainable supply chains, and digitally interact with customers.
