Öğe The impact of leadership style on employee turnover in public sector: A study on Mogadishu Somalia(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü, 2024) Abukar Dhiblawe, AliLeadership style influences organizational strategies, as well as their implementation and success. This is accomplished by motivating staff to complete tasks in excess of projected organizational targets, which ultimately results in the achievement of the stated goals of the company. In a similar way, a leadership style can influence employee loyalty, whether they remain at their jobs, depart, or even participate in behaviours that are Counterproductive Work Behaviours. The outcomes of a poor leadership style, such as employee turnover intentions and Counterproductive Workplace behaviours have a negative influence on leadership's capacity to engage and retain personnel, resulting in poor organizational performance. These results also have a detrimental impact on leadership's capacity to retain personnel. Data will be collected through adopted questionnaire as it is the easiest way to gather right information according the nature of this study. Data will be collected the Interior affairs in Mogadishu. The questionnaire will be presented and collected from respondents online in order to help the respondents who want clarification regarding the questionnaire. In this study, quantitative data analysis will be used. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS V 25.0) will be used to conduct the analyses. The data will be summarized and presented in form of number and percentage. This study will be conducted through explanatory research design and descriptive approach; the researcher will use this research design because it explores the influence of leadership style and employee turnover on public sector in Mogadishu-Somalia. The researcher will used descriptive study to describe the characteristics of respondents; in this study will be used Cross sectional survey to collect quantifiable information. In this research, a meaningful connection exists between adopting an authoritarian leadership style and the likelihood of an employee wanting to leave the public sector in Mogadishu, Somalia. This suggests that if a leader embraces transformational and transactional approaches, it can reduce the desire of an employee to leave and encourage them to stay in their role. Notably, giving individual consideration emerged as the most influential aspect in the public sector among the three elements of an autonomous leadership style, indicating a significant and negative correlation.
