Öğretmen Adaylarının Atama Öncesi Karşılaştıkları Güçlükler: Fenomenolojik Bir Çalışma

Abstract

Bu çalışmada mezuniyet sonrası atama bekleyen öğretmen adaylarının kamu personeli olarak atanma süreçlerinde yaşamış oldukları sosyal, psikolojik ve ekonomik güçlüklere değinilmiştir. Aynı zamanda bu güçlüklerin altında yatan KPSS sistemiyle ilgili yaklaşımlar katılımcıların ifadeleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacına bağlı olarak nitel yöntem benimsenmiş ve fenomenoloji (olgu bilim) deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada amaçlı örnekleme tekniklerinden kartopu örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak 16 katılımcıyla derinlemesine bire bir görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme protokolü kullanılmıştır. Görüşmelerin 3’ü yüz yüze gerçekleştirilmiş ve geri kalan 13 katılımcıyla tüm dünyayı etkileyen COVID-19 pandemisi nedeniyle telefon üzerinden görüşmeler sağlanmıştır. Araştırmada içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmış ve “Tercih Sebebi”, “Hazırlık Süreci”, “Toplumsal Baskı”, “Psikolojik Zorluklar”, “Ekonomik Zorluklar” ve “Sistemsel Sorunlar” temaları altında alt temalara ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan temalar yoluyla katılımcıların düşünceleri değerlendirilerek çözüm önerilerinde bulunulmuştur.

In this study, the social, psychological and economic difficulties experienced by teacher candidates waiting for appointments as public personnel were addressed. At the same time, perspectives regarding the KPSS system underlying these difficulties were reviewed with the statements of the participants. In this context depending on the purpose of the study, qualitative phenomenology method was adopted. In this study, in-depth one-to-one interview was held with 16 participants using the snowball sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling techniques. In the study, semi-structured interview protocol was used as data collection tool. Three of the interviews were held face to face with the participants and interviews were held with the remaining 13 participants over the phone due to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the world. The content analysis method was used in the study to interpret the data and sub-themes were reached under the themes of "Preference Reason", "Preparation Process", "Social Pressure", "Psychology Challenges", "Economic Challenges" and "Systematic Problems". Through the themes reached, the opinions of the participants were evaluated and suggestions were proposed.
