Sovereignty and states' invasion of independent territories: an analysis of the U.S invasion of Baghdadi's residence in Syria

This thesis discusses the relationship between the normative concept of sovereignty and the extent to which the issue of extraterritorial jurisdiction of the international organization and states can hamper or violate international norms and laws all for national interest or for the quest to apprehend terrorist through Military might. This thesis is done using secondary qualitative data to describing the United States role in the killing of Baghdadi in Syria in line with international laws and norms of the United Nations. This research is written in four distinctive chapters. The first chapter is the introductory part of the paper. The second through the third chapters contains the extant literatures of the major concept of the research. The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the paper, followed by the selected references.

Bu tez, normatif egemenlik kavramı ile uluslararası örgütün ve devletlerin sınır ötesi yargı yetkisi konusunun, tamamı ulusal çıkarlar veya askeri güç yoluyla teröristleri yakalama arayışı için uluslararası normları ve yasaları ne ölçüde engelleyebileceğini veya ihlal edebileceğini tartışır. Bu tez, uluslararası yasalara ve Birleşmiş Milletler normlarına uygun olarak, ABD'nin Suriye'de Bağdadi'nin öldürülmesindeki rolünü açıklamak için ikincil niteliksel veriler kullanılarak yapılmıştır.
