dc.description.abstractDear readers, when I mention "old Ramadans," you might think I’m being nostalgic or exaggerating. Of course, today’s Ramadans are also beautiful and fulfilling. However, over time, we’ve forgotten many beautiful traditions that should have been passed down from the past to the present. Among these, our culinary culture and its associated traditions stand out. One tradition that comes to mind, which we’ve perhaps forgotten over the last fifty years, is the practice of tooth rent (diş kirası).
