Abstract

Seal of Excellence Awarded at IGU under the TÜBİTAK 1812 Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment) 2026-1 Call Lect. Tuğrul Güngör and Lect. Aysun Yılmaz Kızılboğa of Istanbul Gelişim Vocational School are among the researchers of the project titled "Product Verification and Tracking System," which was awarded the Seal of Excellence in the 2026-1 call of TÜBİTAK’s 1812 InvestmentBased Entrepreneurship Support Program (BiGG Investment). The program is highly selective: of the 2,844 applications submitted to the 2026-1 call, only 91 received the Seal of Excellence, a success rate of roughly 3%. The project is being carried out by İşleyiş Yazılım A.Ş., an R&D company based at Teknopark İzmir on the İzmir Institute of Technology campus. It has produced İzSor, a platform that helps fight counterfeit products. Each product carries a unique, encrypted QR code hidden inside its packaging, which consumers can scan to instantly confirm that the product is genuine.
