Öğe A hybrid multi-criteria decision making approach for strategic retail location investment: Application to Turkish food retailing(ELSEVIER SCIENCE INC, STE 800, 230 PARK AVE, NEW YORK, NY 10169, 2019) Tüysüz, Nurdan; Tüysüz, FatihRetail location selection decision is a critical and complex process which requires the evaluation and aggregation of multiple criteria and also the usage of appropriate data related to them. This study handles the problem at a strategic level and proposes a Monte Carlo simulation based multi-criteria strategic location decision model for food retailing. This model integrates two multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods which are Hesitant Analytic Hierarchy Process (H-AHP) and Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) methods. Firstly, H-AHP method is used to obtain the weights of criteria to be used in GRA based on the experts' judgements. Secondly, simulation based GRA is used for ranking the alternative locations. Finally, the effectiveness and the applicability of the proposed model is illustrated with an application of strategic location investment decision of food retail stores in Turkey.Öğe Interval-Valued Spherical Fuzzy Z-AHP Method Based on Reliability of Judgments: Green Supplier Selection(Old City Publishing Inc, 2024) Tüysüz, Nurdan; Kahraman, CengizFuzzy sets have been widely used for many multi-criteria decision-making problems including vague and imprecise information of decision makers. In order to provide a broader definition of uncertainty, fuzzy sets have been expanded to various versions in recent years. Z-fuzzy numbers are capable of reflecting the reliability information through restriction and reliability functions. In addition to reliability factor, there is a need for a decision-making methodology that can take into account the hesitancy of experts. Spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs) which let experts assign membership degrees from a larger domain give this methodology a more flexible structure. In this paper, SFSs are used to develop a new fuzzy Z-AHP method. We propose a novel Interval-valued Spherical Fuzzy Z-Analytic Hierarchy Process (IVSF Z-AHP) by integrating the IVSF sets and Z-fuzzy numbers. We also propose a new IVSF Z linguistic scale and a new defuzzification formula which provide an objective and consistent scoring for decision makers' pairwise comparison matrices. Finally, an application is performed for green supplier selection problem to illustrate the application of the proposed methodology. Comparative analysis and sensitivity analysis are also given to explicitly show the necessity of reliability information in decision making. The results show that the proposed method is very effective in determining the best alternative with reliability and hesitancy information.Öğe Multi-criteria Assessment of Sustainability for Energy Systems Under Uncertainty: Grey-Based Approach(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2021) Çelikbilek, Yakup; Tüysüz, Nurdan; Tüysüz, FatihEnergy supply and related systems have gained increasing importance in recent years. Energy supply is not only related to the energy sources but also related to production, distribution, storage, sustainability, etc. As the concept of sustainability, it also includes the other important components of energy systems. Because sustainability is valid for everything and one of the most important topics in today’s world. Therefore, sustainability of energy systems should be considered in a holistic manner. Thus, the sustainability of energy systems can be evaluated more accurately and broadly. In this study, a grey-based multi-criteria approach is proposed to assess the sustainability of energy systems under uncertainty. The proposed approach contains two main methods; the grey analytic hierarchy process and the grey MOORA method. In the first part, grey analytic hierarchy process is used to combine the subjective evaluations of the experts and generate the grey decision matrix. Then, in the second part, grey MOORA method is applied to the grey decision matrix for the assessment of sustainability for energy systems under uncertainty. An example is also given for displaying the applicability of the presented approach. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Öğe Novel Decomposed Spherical Fuzzy Sets and Its TOPSIS Extension(SPRINGER INTERNATIONAL PUBLISHING AGGEWERBESTRASSE 11, CHAM, CH-6330, SWITZERLAND, 2024) Tüysüz, Nurdan; Kahraman, CengizIn this paper, novel decomposed spherical fuzzy sets which represent both three dimensional membership degrees and the consistency of judgments are proposed. First, definitions, basic mathematical operations and some important operators of decomposed spherical fuzzy sets are given. Then, crisp TOPSIS methodology is extended to decomposed spherical fuzzy version. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to show its practicality.Öğe A novel multi-criteria analysis model for the performance evaluation of bank regions: an application to Turkish agricultural banking(SPRINGER, ONE NEW YORK PLAZA, SUITE 4600 , NEW YORK, NY 10004, UNITED STATES, 2020) Tüysüz, Fatih; Tüysüz, NurdanThe banks serve in a highly dynamic and competitive environment and need to systematically evaluate their performance to improve their competitiveness. Performance evaluation is an important and complex process that requires flexible and analytic methods while handling the multidimensionality of the problem. This study presents a hybrid multi-criteria performance evaluation model for banking sector which combines two multi-criteria decision making methods that are simulation-integrated hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets-based analytic hierarchy process method to determine the importance level of each criterion according to the decision makers’ subjective judgements and grey relational analysis method to rank bank regions according to their performance values. The presented model is based on both probability theory and fuzzy sets theory and thus better represents all the dimensions of the uncertainty inherent in decision making process. A real-life application of the proposed performance evaluation model for a private bank operating in agricultural banking sector in Turkey is also given to illustrate the effectiveness and the applicability of the model.Öğe Picture Fuzzy Z-AHP: Application to Panel Selection of Solar Energy(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2023) Tüysüz, Nurdan; Kahraman, CengizIn this study, picture fuzzy sets are expanded using Z-fuzzy numbers that can model reliability information in addition to the restrictive judgments of experts. Then, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, which is one of the most commonly used multi-criteria decision making methods, is extended to the Picture Fuzzy Z-AHP method to create a more inclusive and reliable pairwise comparison structure for decision makers. An illustrative example for the solar energy panel selection problem is presented to demonstrate the practicality of the proposed method. Finally, a comparative analysis is performed to demonstrate the effects of reliability information on the results, which also justifies the importance of considering reliability information. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
