    Does economic policy uncertainty affect venture capital investments for OECD countries?

    Economic policy uncertainty (EPU) has significant effects on the real economy. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of economic policy uncertainty on venture capital, a special financing form. In this study, the effects of economic uncertainty on venture capital for 14 OECD countries are investigated between 2007 and 2020 years. The results show that the increase in economic uncertainty in the long term increases venture capital investments in developed countries. The contributions of the study are demonstrating how venture capital reacts to economic policy uncertainty and using up-to-date methods that allow soft transitions to studying long-term relations between series.

    Female entrepreneurs and employees among the economy: Selected indicators from turkey

    Female entrepreneurs and employees are so important for the economy. Especially, sustainable development encourages more female empowerment in the world. When considering the economic support of female entrepreneurs and employees for GDP in a specific country, the number of each female entrepreneur will be so valuable. On the other side, the sustainability of enterprises should also be considered. The Covid-19 pandemic affected many employees and entrepreneurs negatively, and the global economy has fallen into a big crisis. Rates of economic growth and employment all declined due to the Covid-19 crises globally. This study aims to explore female entrepreneurs and employees among Turkish economy by investigating recorded statistics for Covid-19 period and post-Covid-19 period in Turkiye. It is thought to give a brief framework for the importance of female entrepreneurs and employees for economic growth and also sustainable development. © 2023, IGI Global. All rights reserved.
