    The effects of foreign intervention on the Libian presidential elections

    This study aimed primarily to study the impact of foreign interference in the Libyan presidential elections through an inductive method of events and analysis of the historical context of the development of political life in Libya. This study gains its importance in terms of the lack of studies that have addressed the Libyan issue in light of the political events and presidential elections, and also in that Libya is considered one of the oil-rich countries and is the focus of attention of the entire world. Many countries in the world have political interests in Libya in addition to economic interests. As a result, the Libyan political system came under the influence of these countries, which put Libya after the Arab Spring revolution in a state of political and economic instability. This study concluded that there is a significant impact of foreign interventions in Libya, whether Western interventions represented by the United States of America, Italy, Britain, France, or Russian, Turkish, and other interventions. The study also concluded that it is necessary to activate national reconciliation between Libyan political forces for the benefit of the country and to achieve growth and stability. The study recommends conducting several studies on this topic in order to generalize the results and also following different research approaches, which contributes to analyzing the Libyan issue and political, economic and social issues in a more accurate and comprehensive manner.
