Entropy-based multi-item solid transportation problems with uncertain variables
(SPRINGER, ONE NEW YORK PLAZA, SUITE 4600 , NEW YORK, NY 10004, UNITED STATES, 2019) Dalman, Hasan
This paper focuses on modeling and optimization of entropy-based uncertain multi-item solid transportation problems (MISTPs), in which direct costs, supplies, demands, conveyance capacities are uncertain nature. The purpose is to minimize the total uncertain cost via maximum entropy which ensures uniform delivery of products from sources to destinations through conveyances. The expected value programming and expected constrained programming models for optimizing the entropy-based uncertain MISTPs are constructed. These models are based on uncertainty theory. Subsequently, the constructed models are converted into their deterministic equivalences which are solved using two known mathematical programming methods. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the models.

A Fuzzy Logic Based Approach to Solve Interval Multiobjective Nonlinear Transportation Problem
(NATL ACAD SCIENCES INDIA, 5 LAJPATRAI RD, ALLAHABAD 211002, INDIA, 2019) Dalman, Hasan; Sivri, Mustafa
This paper presents the solution procedure of multiobjective nonlinear transportation problem (MNOTP) where the cost coefficients of the objective functions, and the supply and the unknown demand parameters have been formulated as interval numbers by the decision maker. This problem has been converted into a conventional MNOTP where to minimize the interval nonlinear objective functions, the order relations that define the choice between intervals have been determined by the interval arithmetic. Also, the constraints with interval supply and unknown demand parameters have been transformed into its deterministic forms. Then the deterministic problems have been solved by two compromise programming methods. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed procedure as well.

Interactive Fuzzy Decision Making Algorithm for Two Level Linear Fractional Programming Problems
(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Yayınları / Istanbul Gelisim University Press, 2017-12-13) Dalman, Hasan
This paper offers an interactive fuzzy decision-making algorithm for solving two-level linear fractional programming (TLLFP) problem which contains a single decision maker at the upper level and multiple decision makers at the lower level. In the presented interactive mechanism, the fuzzy goals and associated weight of the objective at all levels are first determined and the satisfactory solution is attained by renewing the satisfactory degrees of decision makers including the overall satisfactory balance among all levels. Moreover, the value of distance function is used in order to verify the satisfaction grades. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the performance of the presented algorithm.

Interactive Fuzzy Goal Programming Based on Taylor Series to Solve Multiobjective Nonlinear Programming Problems With Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Numbers
(IEEE-Inst Electrical Electronics Engineers Inc, 2018) Dalman, Hasan; Bayram, Mustafa
This paper presents an interactive fuzzy goal programming (FGP) approach for solving multiobjective nonlinear programming problems (MONLPP) with interval type-2 fuzzy numbers (IT2 FNs). The cost and time of the objective functions, the resources, and the requirements of each kind of resources are taken to be trapezoidal IT2 FNs. Here, the considered problem is first transformed into an equivalent crisp MONLPP, and then the transformed MONLPP is converted into an equivalent multiobjective linear programming problem. By using a procedure based on Taylor series, this problem is reduced into a single objective linear programming problem that can be easily solved by Maple 2017 optimization toolbox. Finally, the proposed solution procedure is illustrated by two numerical examples.

Interactive goal programming algorithm with Taylor series and interval type 2 fuzzy numbers
(SPRINGER HEIDELBERG, TIERGARTENSTRASSE 17, D-69121 HEIDELBERG, GERMANY, 2019) Dalman, Hasan; Bayram, Mustafa
This paper presents an interactive fuzzy goal programming (FGP) approach for solving Multiobjective Nonlinear Programming Problems (MONLPP) with interval type 2 fuzzy numbers (IT2 FNs). The cost and time of the objective functions, and the requirements of each kind of resources are taken to be trapezoidal IT2 FNs. Here, the considered fuzzy problem is first transformed into an equivalent crisp MONLPP, and then the MONLPP is converted into an equivalent multiobjective linear programming problem (MOLPP). By using an algorithm based on Taylor series, this problem is also reduced into a single objective linear programming problem (LPP) which can be easily solved by Maple 2017 optimization toolbox. Finally, the proposed solution procedure is illustrated by a numerical example.

Multi-objective Solid Transportation Problem in Uncertain Environment
(SPRINGER INT PUBL AG, GEWERBESTRASSE 11, CHAM CH-6330, SWITZERLAND, 2017) Dalman, Hasan; Sivri, Mustafa
Although new information technologies decrease information and transaction costs, transportation problem of physical goods is still relevant. Globalization of trade increased the uncertainty that companies are facing, it also increased the importance of supply chain management in world economies drastically. Because transportation systems are crucial for operation management, the problem of finding efficient and sustainable solutions under such uncertain environments needs to be studied. Thus, this paper focuses on ‘‘multi-objective solid transportation problem (STP) in uncertain environment’’ and presents some approaches to find the compromised optimal solution of multi-objective STP. Then, compatible with uncertainty, fuzzy programming and some techniques of the fuzzy set theory are implemented to solve the problem by using Maple 17.02. A numerical example is executed and presented here to illustrate suggested procedures.

A simulation algorithm with uncertain random variables
    (Ramazan Yaman, 2018) Dalman, Hasan
In many situations, uncertainty and randomness concurrently occur in a system. Thus this paper presents a new concept for uncertain random variable. Also, a simulation algorithm based on uncertain random variables is presented to approximate the chance distribution using pessimistic value and optimistic value. An example is also given to illustrate how to use the presented simulation algorithm.

(YILDIZ TECHNICAL UNIV, YILDIZ CAMPUS, BESIKTAS, ISTANBUL 34349, TURKEY, 2018) Dalman, Hasan
The optimistic and pessimistic values of uncertain random variable have been presented for handling both uncertainty and randomness. In this paper, some extensions of optimistic and pessimistic values of uncertain random variable are investigated. As a sample, the optimistic and pessimistic values of an uncertain random variable are expressed.
