One of the main change agents of this new era is internet of things technologies. The term “internet of things” (IoT) indicates objects having an identity and having ubiquitous connection with each other. Notwithstanding the novelty of the concept, it captured the interest of many scholars and practitioners. The subject area has not been analyzed profoundly from the consumers’ point of view. Whenever potential users face a new technology, they experience an acceptation process. In this study, how this new concept is perceived by the consumers is scrutinized. Consumer perspective of IoT is studied through Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM introduced perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, as signi?cant determinants for a potential user to have behavioral intention to use a new technology. Researchers have been studying entrepreneurial orientation (EO) performance relation or clarifying the key internal organizational factors. However, there are not enough studies that investigate relation between entrepreneurial orientation with internal organizational factors. The objective of this research is to empirically examine internal organization factors that initiate entrepreneurial climate which influence entrepreneurial orientation that affect business performance. To investigate the stated relationships data is collected from Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises. Questionnaires are prepared by the researchers based on the measurement instrument used by Hornsby, Kuratko and Zahra (2002) and Dess & Lumpkin (1996). After the preliminary survey which is done for the reliability and validity analysis of the measurement instrument, is distributed via mail and the internet site. (C) 2014 The Authors. Companies can survive by the help of innovation improvement because that it provides continuous progress, which enables companies to grow faster, become more efficient and more profitable than companies, which do not make innovation. Particularly for exporting companies’ innovation gains much more importance because of shortening product life cycle and increasing competition in global environment. There are numerous studies that investigates the relation between innovation and firm performance. Research results have shown that innovation influences firm performance in different ways such as; entering the market for the first time with an innovative product allow companies to obtain relatively high profits; the number of innovations completed by companies had a positive impact on the operating profit margin; high product innovativeness had positive affect on the sustainable profitability in longitudinal researches; companies’ technical and administrative innovation have also positive affect on firm performance. Therefore, due to the higher uncertainty in business environment, it is crucial to identify the criteria for innovation decision and analyze the effects on firms’ financial performance. In this study, main objective is to find out the most important criteria for innovation decision that affects financial performance in Turkish export companies. The authors identified the innovation decision criteria according to the recent studies that explore the relation between innovation and firm performance. Decision model consists of three main criteria as; firm structure, economic and internal environment criteria and nine sub-criteria as; experience, financial structure, crisis & instability, market demand, governmental policies, competition, human capital & education, research & development capability and organizational culture. Analytical Network Process (ANP) method used to select the best alternatives evaluated with respect to nine criteria.Öğe İş Stresi ve Pozitif Psikolojik Sermayenin Tükenmişlik Üzerine Etkisi: Bankacılık Sektöründe Bir Araştırma(Okur Yazar Derneği, 2019) Bayarçelik, Ebru Beyza; Vatansever Durmaz, Burçak; Gürler, Ebru NilayTeknolojik gelişmeler ve yoğun rekabet tüm sektörlede hissedilen iş stresini artırarak, duygusal kaynakları azaltmış ve bunların sonucunda tükenmişlik daha sık ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. Banka çalışanları arasında çok yaygın hissedilen tükenmişliğe karşın, tükenmişlikle mücadele için pozitif kaynakların etkilerini araştıran çok az sayıda çalışma bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı bankacılık sektöründe çalışanların hissettiği iş stresi ve psikolojik sermayenin tükenmişlik üzerindeki etkisini irdelemektedir. Çalışmanın örneklemini İstanbul ilinde faaliyet gösteren 300 kamu ve özel banka çalışanları oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama araçları olarak İş Stresi Ölçeği, Psikolojik Sermaye Ölçeği ve Maslach Tükenmişlik Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre banka çalışanlarının iş stres düzeyleri tükenmişliğin iki alt boyutu olan duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşma düzeyini arttırırken, çalışanların pozitif psikolojik sermaye düzeyleri sadece duygusal tükenme düzeyini azalttığı, duyarsızlaşmayı etkilemediği görülmüştür.Öğe The Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction on The Relation Between Organizational Justice Perception and Intention to Leave(ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV, SARA BURGERHARTSTRAAT 25, PO BOX 211, 1000 AE AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, 2016) Bayarçelik, Ebru Beyza; Afacan Fındıklı, Mine MukaddesThe purpose of this research is to examine the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between the perception of organizational justice and the intention to leave. To investigate the stated relationships data is collected from public and private banks in Istanbul. Questionnaires are prepared based on the measurement instrument used by Niehoff and Moorman (1993), Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (1967) and Grandey (1999). A total of 294 headquarter and branch employees filled out questionnaires. The obtained data from the questionnaires are analyzed through the SPSS statistical packaged software. The results indicate that procedural and distributive justice has significant influence on intention to leave. In addition, job satisfaction mediated the relationship between procedural and distributive justice and turnover intention. Lastly, interactional justice has no significant influences on neither job satisfaction nor turnover intention.Öğe A Research on Determining Innovation Factors for SMEs(ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV, SARA BURGERHARTSTRAAT 25, PO BOX 211, 1000 AE AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, 2014-06-19) Bayarçelik, Ebru Beyza; Taşel, Fulya; Apak, SinanSMEs are the essential elements of the economy which is responsible for driving innovation and competition in many economic sectors. To be a competitor in such economies those SMEs should support strategic management decisions successfully. The problem could be in decision phase according to market conditions with many external and internal factors. To cope with ambiguity executives have to consider appropriate strategies. Due to this difficult and time consuming evaluation process, this paper is focusing on determining to find some case-based strategic innovation success factors. A decision making approach is adopted to effectively evaluate those strategic innovation factors.
