Grid integration strategies with the use of renewable energy deployment and grid resilience

This study investigates the strategies of integrating renewable energy sources into the electrical grid. In particular, this study concentrates on solar and wind energy and examines suitable measures of their integration into the grid of Spain. The conducted research collected data on electrical consumption, generation, pricing, and weather for four years and analyzed them to understand the patterns of suitable integration . The study used several statistical methods and models such as regression analysis, correlation analysis, and forecasting methods, and optimization techniques to forecast the generation of wind and solar power and to define the best possible energy generation mix, taking into account its cost, demand, and sustainability. The results indicate that weather also plays a significant role in the output of renewable energy sources and demonstrate the extent to which a renewable energy-focused grid can be more efficient and resilient. The study concludes with recommendations to enhance the quality of future forecasting, grid development and modernisation, policy development, public engagement, and continuation of research.
