Öğe The influence of organizational culture on employee engagement and performance: A case study of Yemeni institutions in Türkiye(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü, 2024) Aldarwish, Haithm Ahmed Mohammed Abu AlsaudThis thesis investigates the influence of organizational culture on employee engagement and performance within Yemeni establishments in Turkey. Employing structural equation modelling through Smart-PLS, four hypotheses were empirically tested. The first hypothesis (H1) positing that organizational culture has significant influence on employees' performance was not supported. Conversely, the second hypothesis (H2) was supported, revealing a significant and positive influence of organizational culture on employee engagement. Furthermore, the third hypothesis (H3) found strong support, indicating a significant and positive effect of employee engagement on employee performance. A mediation analysis was conducted to explore the mediating role of employee engagement between organizational culture and employee performance. The study applied SEM (PLS) and bootstrapping to test the hypotheses. The results showed that employee engagement fully mediated the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance (H4), with a significant and positive influence (β = 0.461, t = 7.103, p<0.001). This underscores the critical role of employee engagement as a mechanism through which organizational culture impacts performance. The study contributes to understanding the nuanced dynamics between organizational culture, employee engagement, and employee performance in the specific context of Yemeni establishments in Turkey.
