Eleştirel düşünce düzeyi ile problem çözme becerisi arasındaki ilişki: Sağlık turizmine hizmet veren konaklama işletmeleri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

İçinde bulunulan çağın gereksinimlerine bakıldığında teknolojinin yanı sıra toplumun bilgi toplumu olduğu görülmektedir. Bilgi toplumu, hazır bilgileri sorgusuz olarak kabul eden bireyler yetiştirmektense, sorgulayan, gerektiğinde neyi, neden, niçin ve nasıl öğrenmemiz gerektiğini benimseyen, öğrendiği bilgileri başka alanlara transfer edebilen, bu bilgileri geliştiren daha sonrasında da yeni bilgiler üretmek için kullanan bireylerin yetiştirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Bunun için de özellikle bireylerin eleştirel düşünce ve problem çözme becerisine sahip olması gerekmektedir. Bireylerin karşılaşabileceği sorunları fark edip, bunlar karşısında gerekli önlemlerin alınması gerekmektedir. Bu sorunlar düzeltilmediği gibi iş hayatımızda da nasıl sorunlarla karşılaşılacağı bilinmemektedir. İşletmelerde çalışan herkesin akademik başarılarının gelişmiş olmasının yanında özgüvenlerinin de yüksek olması gerekmektedir. Bunun sonucunda çalışanlar her türlü duruma ayak uydurabilirler. Bu nedenle eleştirel düşünce ve problem çözme becerisi bütün çalışanlara kazandırılması gereken beceriler arasında yer almaktadır. Hem bireysel olarak hem de toplumda bu tür becerilerin kazandırılması sayesinde iş yerlerinde yaşanacak sorunların çözümlenmesi noktasında çalışanlara kolaylık sağlayacağı bir gerçektir. Sağlık turizmine hizmet veren konaklama işletmelerinde çalışan personellerin üst düzey eleştirel düşünce ve problem çözme becerisine sahip olmaları verdikleri hizmetin kalitesini yükseltmede önemli bir role sahiptir. Bu araştırmanın amacı; sağlık turizmine hizmet veren konaklama işletmelerinde çalışan personellerin eleştirel düşünce ile problem çözme becerisi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Araştırmaya İstanbul ilinde bulunan 330 gönüllü otel çalışanı katılmıştır. Araştırmada kişisel bilgi formu, eleştirel düşünce ve problem çözme becerisine ait tutum ölçekleri kullanılmaktadır. Verilerin yorumlanmasında anova testi, t-testi ve regresyon analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır.

When we look at the needs of the present age, it is seen that the society as well as technology on information society. Information society aims to educate people who question and adopt to understand how and why we should learn the info when necessary and who can transfer the learned information to the other fields, people who can develop such ideas and use it to create the new ideas instead of people who accept the information as it is. Individuals should have the skills of solving problems and critical thinking. Individuals should realize the problems which they may face and take the necessary precautions against them. When these problems are not solved, which problems will be encountered in our business life cannot be know. Employees need to be supported with academic knowledge as well as an enhanced sense of selfreliance so that they can adapt to any situation and express themselves freely in all situations. For this reason, critical thinking and problem solving skills are among the skills that must be acquired for all employees. Providing such skills to both individuals and society will provide convenience to the employees at the point of solving the problems in working places. Employees who work for accomodation enterprises which provide service for health tourism should have critical thinking and problem solving skills as they have an important role on improving the quality of service that they provide. The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between critical thinking and problem solving skills of employees who work for accomodation enterprises which provide service for health tourism. In Istanbul 330 volunteer hotel workers were participated in survey. Personal information form, critical thinking scale and attitude scale of problem solving skills were used in the research. Anova test, t-test and regression analysis techniques were used in the analysis of the data.
