dc.description.abstract | Human Rights and Social Work in the
Construction of Social Welfaret
Human rights, in the broadest sense, are the fundamental rights and freedoms that
an individual is born with and are recognized by the state. These rights strengthen
on the basis of protecting every individual's dignity, securing their freedoms, and
adhering to the principle of equality. Human Rights Week enables deeper and more
profound thinking about the various ways in which human rights and social work
relationships are established by reminding us of these universal values in different
areas. Social work operates with the aim of increasing the welfare of individuals and
society, ensuring social justice, and strengthening respect for human rights. It also
carries an ethical responsibility to solve social problems and develop critical and
analytical thoughts. To put it clearly, human rights are the fundamental principle of
social work. It aims to respect the dignity of each individual and ensure social justice.
In its efforts to reduce social inequalities, it aims to strengthen not only individuals
but also many fragile social groups. In this sense, social work is an effective
professional field in the protection and development of human rights. | en_US |
