Yükselen Güçlerin Ekonomilerinde Dış Ticaretin Etkisi: Brics Örneği

Abstract

Günümüz küresel ekonomisinde BRICS ülkeleri büyüme hızlarıyla ön plana çıkmakta ve bu sayede yükselen güçler olarak adlandırılmaktadır. 1990’lı ve 2000’li yılların başı, küreselleşmenin etkisiyle liberalleşen ekonomilerin dış ticarete ağırlık verdiği ve ekonomilerinin büyüdüğü bir dönem olmuştur. Bu bağlamda, ekonomik büyüme ve dış ticaret ilişkisi önem kazanmıştır. Ekonomik büyümenin dış ticaretle çift yönlü ilişkisinin kabulü üzerinden, bu çalışma BRICS ülkelerinin ekonomik büyümesinde dış ticaretin etkisini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. 2000-2018 yılları arasında BRICS ülkelerinin ekonomik büyüme oranları ve dış ticaret anlayışlarının incelendiği bu çalışmada, ülkelerin serbest piyasa ekonomisine geçmeleriyle ekonomik büyümelerinin sağlandığı tespit edilmiştir. BRICS ülkelerinin tamamı özellikle 1990’lı yıllardan itibaren liberal bir reform sürecine girmiş, bunun sonucunda ithalat ve ihracat oranları artmıştır. Serbest ekonominin önemini kavrayan BRICS ülkelerinin son 20 yılda ekonomik büyümeleri ile dış ticaretleri birbirini etkilemiştir.

In today's global economy, BRICS countries come to the fore with their growth rates and are thus called rising powers. In the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s were a period when the economies have been liberalized, they focused on foreign trade and their economies grew, with globalization. In this context, the relationship between economic growth and foreign trade has gained importance. Through the acceptance of the bilateral relationship of economic growth with foreign trade, this study aims to determine the impact of foreign trade on the economic growth of BRICS countries. In this study, between 2000 and 2018 BRICS countries' economic growth rates and their understanding of foreign trade were examined. It has been determined that economic growth is achieved by the transition of countries to a free market economy. All of the BRICS countries have entered a liberal reform process, especially since the 1990s, as a result of which their import and export rates have increased. Understanding the importance of the free economy, BRICS countries' economic growth and foreign trade have affected each other in the last 20 years.
