dc.description.abstract | On Ecological Sustainability: A Critical Perspective
- I think we would not be wrong if we say that the
concept of sustainability is one of the most popular
topics of the last half century. Of course, there are some
historical and social reasons for its popularity.
Conceptually, sustainability can be defined as the
process of re-stabilization or restoration of an activity
whose continuity has been jeopardized. The concept of
sustainability has come to the forefront especially as the
ecosystem faces irreversible risks due to global warming
and climate change. Undoubtedly, failure to ensure the
continuity of a habitable biosphere will bring vital
problems for humans and nature. | en_US |
