Yunan Deniz Taşımacılığını Yükselten Dinamiklerin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Yunanistan 'ın coğrafi özelliklerinin ortaya çıkardığı bir takım zorunluluklardan dolayı Yunan halkı denizlere yakın ilgi göstermiş ve halkın bu yakın ilgisi zamanla artarak tarihsel süreç içerisinde önemli bir sektörün inşasına giden yolu açmıştır. Bu özelliklerin yarattığı ilgi, günümüz dünya deniz taşımacılığının en önemli aktörlerinden biri olan Yunan deniz taşımacılığı sektörünün alt yapısını hazırlamıştır. Coğrafi alanı küçük ve az nüfuslu Yunanistan 'ın dünya deniz taşımacılığı alanında önemli bir güce erişmesi ilgiyi hak eden bir konuyu oluşturmaktadır. Bundan dolayı bu çalışma, Yunan deniz taşımacılığının özellikle 18. yüzyıl sonrası dönemden yakın döneme kadar olan serüvenini inceleyerek Türkiye denizcilik camiasında çok tartışılan fakat akademik yazına neredeyse hiç konu edilmeyen dünya deniz taşımacılığı sektöründeki bu önemli aktörü tanıtma amacındadır. Çalışmada tarihsel süreçteki neden-sonuç ilişkilerinin ortaya çıkardığı sacayakları, betimleyici (descriptive) yöntem üzerinden incelenmiştir. Yunanistan 'ın dünya deniz taşımacılığında kazandığı önemli pozisyonun arka planındaki sacayakları sırasıyla ülkenin coğrafik özellikleri, gelenek, iş ağları, stratejik iş yönetimi, tam uluslararasılaşma, devlet desteği, yasal alt yapı ve yatırımların çeşitlendirilmesi olarak ortaya konmaktadır.

Due to some necessities brought about by the geographical characteristics of Greece, the Greek people showed a close interest in the seas and this close interest of the people increased over time and opened the way to the construction of an important sector in the historical process. The interest created by these features has prepared the infrastructure of the Greek maritime transport sector, which is one of the most important actors of today's world maritime transport. The fact that Greece, which has a small geographical area and a small population, has a significant power in the field of world maritime transport constitutes a subject that deserves attention. Therefore, this study aims to introduce this important actor in the world maritime transport sector, which is widely discussed in the Turkish maritime community but almost never mentioned in the academic literature, by examining the adventure of Greek maritime transport, especially from the post-l 8th century to the recent period. In the study, the trivets revealed by the cause-effect relationships in the historical process were examined through the descriptive method. In the background of Greece's important position in world maritime transport, the geographical features of the country, tradition, business networks, strategic business management, ful! internationalization, state support, legal infrastructure and diversification of investments are revealed respectively.
