Bedensel engelli yüzücülerin yeni tip korona virüse yakalanma kaygılarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Yapacağımız araştırmaya Türkiye Bedensel Engelliler Yüzme Şampiyonasına katılmış elit düzeyde spor yapan Bedensel Engelli Sporcular katılmıştır. Yeni tip korona virüs sebebiyle tüm sporcularda olduğu gibi aynı tesis ve imkânlardan faydalanan Bedensel Engelli Sporcularda antrenman süreçlerinin engel seviyelerince daha fazla sekteye uğraması, performans düşüklüğü korkusu, engel durumlarının ağırlığı ile salgına karşı yaşanan endişe, stres ve duygusal anlamda yaşanan karışıklık kaygı düzeylerini de etkileyecektir. Bu bağlamda Bedensel Engelli yüzme sporcularının kaygı düzeylerinin incelenmesi önemlidir. Bedensel Engelli Yüzme Sporcularının, pandemi süresince yeni tip korona virüse (COVİD-19) yakalanma kaygısının çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu çerçevede Araştırmanın evrenini, 2019-2020 sezonunda Türkiye Bedensel Engelliler spor Federasyonu bünyesinde elit seviyede spor yapan bedensel engelli sporcular oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem grubunu ise Türkiye Bedensel Engelliler spor Federasyonu 2019-20 Türkiye Yüzme Şampiyonasına farklı derecelerde katılım sağlamış elit düzeyde spor yapan 32 kadın, 36 erkek olmak üzere toplam 68 yüzücü oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmamızda nicel araştırma modellerinden tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, kişisel bilgi formu ve "Sporcuların Yeni Tip Korona virüse (Covid-19) Yakalanma Kaygısı Ölçeği (SYTKYKÖ)" kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların kişisel bilgi formu ve "Sporcuların Yeni Tip Korona virüse (Covid-19) Yakalanma Kaygısı Ölçeği" elektronik ortama aktarılarak katılımcıların soruları cevaplaması sağlanmıştır. Araştırmamızda kullanılan ölçek, Demir ve ark. tarafından geliştirilen (SYTKYKÖ)" 16 madde ve 2 alt faktörü bulunan ölçek, beşli likert tipindedir. Kişisel bilgi formu ve Yeni Tip Korona virüse Yakalanma Kaygısı ölçeği ile ulaşılan bulgular IBM SPSS 25.0 paket programı kullanılarak gerekli veriler işlenmiş ve bu program tarafından yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda veriler normal dağılım göstermemektedir. İstatistiki prosedür doğrultusunda araştırma amacını meydana getiren hipotezleri test etmek için Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis-H analizlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; Bedensel engelli yüzme sporcularının Covid-19'a yakalanma kaygı düzeylerinin orta düzeyden daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Physically Disabled Athletes who participated in the Turkish Physically Disabled Swimming Championship and engaged in sports at the elite level participated in the research we plan to do. Due to the new type of Coronavirus, like all athletes the training processes of the physically disabled athletes who benefit from the same facilities and oppurtunities more interrupted by the level of disability, the fear of poor performance, the weight of the disability situations and the stress and emotional confusion caused by the fear caused by the epidemic will also affect the anxiety levels. In this context, it is important to examine the anxiety levels of physically disabled swimmers. It is aimed to examine the anxiety of catching the new type of Coronavirus (COVID-19) during the pandemic in physically disabled swimming athletes according to various variables. In this framework, the population of the research consists of physically disabled athletes who do sports at the elite level within the body of the Turkish Physically Disabled Sports Federation in the 2019-2020 season. The sample group, on the other hand, consists of a total of 68 swimmers, 32 females and 36 males, who participated in different degrees in the Turkish Physically Disabled Sports Federation 2019-20 Turkey Swimming Championship and are engaged in sports at the elite level. In our research, the scanning method, which is one of the quantitative research models, was used. Personal information form and "Athletes' Anxiety of Catching the New Type Coronavirus (Covid-19) Scale (SYTKYKÖ)" were used as data collection tools in the research. The personal information form of the participants and the "Athletes' Anxiety of Catching the New Type of Coronavirus (Covid-19) Scale" were transferred to the electronic environment and the participants were provided to answer the questions. The scale (SYTKYKÖ) used in our research and developed by Demir and ark., has 16 items and 2 sub-factors, and it is in a five-point Likert type. Findings obtained as a result of the personal information form and Athletes' Anxiety of Catching the New Type of Coronavirus Scale, the necessary data were processed using the IBM SPSS 25.0 package program and made by this program. As a result of the analysis, the data do not show normal distribution. Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis-H analyzes were used to test the hypotheses that reveal the research purpose in accordance with the statistical procedure. In conclusion; It was concluded that the anxiety levels of physically disabled swimmers catching Covid-19 were higher than moderate.
