Yetişkinlerde cinsel işlev ile suçluluk ve utanç duyguları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı suçluluk ve utanç duygularının yetişkinlerin cinsel işlevleri üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaktır. Aynı zamanda, çalışma kapsamında katılımcılardan alınan sosyo-demografik değişkenlerin yetişkinlerin cinsel işlevleri ve suçluluk-utanç duyguları ile ilişkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye'de yaşayan 18 yaşını doldurmuş 100 kadın ve 100 erkek oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların Sosyo-demografik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi için katılımcılara Kişisel Bilgi Formu, cinsel işlev düzeylerini öğrenebilmek amacıyla Arizona Cinsel Yaşantılar Bilgi Formu ve suçluluk, utanç duygularını belirleyebilmek için de Suçluluk-Utanç Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Bu tez çalışmasından elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda erkeklerin suçluluk ve utanç duyguları ile cinsel işlevleri arasında anlamlılık tespit edilmiş, erkeklerin suçluluk ve utanç duygularının cinsel işlevlerini düşürdüğü saptanmıştır. Kadınlarda suçluluk ve utanç duyguları erkeklerden daha yoğun yaşanmasına rağmen cinsel işlevleri üzerinde bir anlamlılık tespit edilmemiş, kadınlardaki suçluluk ve utanç duygularının cinsel işlevlerini düşürdüğüne dair bir bulguya rastlanılamamıştır. Elde edilen bilgiler ve bulunan sonuç alanyazın doğrultusunda tartışılmış, araştırmacılara ve uzmanlara tavsiyelerde bulunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of guilt and shame on adults' sexual functions. At the same time, the relationship between the socio-demographic variables obtained from the participants within the scope of the study and the sexual functions of adults and their feelings of guilt and shame were investigated. The universe of the research consists of 100 women and 100 men aged 18 and over living in Turkey. In order to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants, the Personal Information Form was applied to the participants, the Arizona Sexual Experiences Information Form to learn their sexual function levels, and the Guilt-Shame Scale to determine the feelings of guilt and shame. Based on the information obtained from this thesis, a significance was determined between men's feelings of guilt and shame and their sexual functions, and it was determined that men's feelings of guilt and shame decreased their sexual functions. Although feelings of guilt and shame in women are experienced more intensely than men, no significance was found on their sexual functions, and there was no evidence that the feelings of guilt and shame in women decreased their sexual functions. The information that obtained and the result were discussed in line with the literature, and recommendations were made to researchers and experts.
