İş-Aile Çatışması-Duygusal Emek İlişkisinde Lider Desteğinin Rolü: Eğitim Üzerine Bir Araştırma*

Abstract

Günümüz rekabet ortamında iş yaşamı ile aile yaşamı arasındaki etkileşim artmıştır. İşten aileye ve aileden işe yansıyan doğrudan ve dolaylı etkiler çalışanların tutum ve davranışında etkili olmaktadır. Duyguların iş yaşamındaki önemi giderek artmakta ve çalışan performansını etkilemektedir. Bu kapsamda; eğitim sektöründe iş-aile yaşam çatışması- duygusal emek ilişkisinin belirlenmesi ve bu ilişkide lider desteğinin aracılık rolünün olup olmadığını belirlenmesine yönelik ampirik bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda iş-aile ve aile iş çatışması ile duygusal emek arasında bir ilişki olduğu ve lider desteğinin bu ilişkide aracılık rolü üstlenmediği belirlenmiştir.

In today’s competitive environments, the interaction between working life and family life has increased. Direct and indirect influences posed onto the family from the job and onto the job from the family constitute an effect on workers’ attitudes and behaviors. The importance of emotions in working life has increased and they affect workers’ performances. In this context; an empirical study has been conducted in education sector for the purpose of observing the conflict between the working life and the family life; its correlation to emotional labor and the effect of the leader as a mediator in this relationship. The results of the study indicate a correlation between the work–family conflict and emotional labor and that leader support does not play a mediatory role in this correlation.
