Çalışma Yaşamında Engelli Kadınların İstihdam Süreçleri: Yozgat Örneği

Abstract

Demografik göstergeleri incelendiğinde engelli bireylerin toplam nüfus içerisindeki oranının yüksekliği, engelli bireylerin sorunlarının toplumda büyük önem taşıdığını ortaya koymaktadır. Nüfusun önemli bir kısmını oluşturan engellilerin çalışma hayatı ve toplumla bütünleşme sorunları, üzerinde çalışılması gereken bir konudur. Yozgat ili örneği özelinde oluşturulan çalışma yaşamında engelli kadınların istihdam süreçleri araştırmasında, derinlemesine görüşmelerle öznel algılamaların önemli olduğunu ifade eden nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla Yozgat’ta ikamet eden 15 engelli kadınla gerçekleştirilen görüşmelerde katılımcıların engellilik durumlarının istihdam süreçlerine etkisi, çalışma süreleri, engellilerin işe girme süreçleri, iş hayatında karşılaştıkları sorunlar ve engelli istihdamının iyileştirilebilmesi için önerileri gibi konu başlıklarında kadınların yaşadıkları durumu nasıl algıladıkları ve anlamlandırdıklarını kendi ifadeleri ile anlayabilmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada engelli kadınların istihdam süreçleriyle yaşadıkları sorunlar toplumsal cinsiyet kavramı ile ilişkilendirilerek araştırılmıştır.

When the demographic indicators of the societies are analyzed, the high ratio of individuals with disabilities in the total population reveals the importance of the problems of people with disabilities for societies. The working life and integration problems of the disabled, which constitute a significant part of the population, is an issue to be studied. Qualitative research method, which states that human actions contain subjective meanings in the employment processes of women with disabilities in the working life created in the case of Yozgat province, therefore, subjective perceptions are as important as numerical data in human studies. During the interviews conducted with 15 disabled women residing in Yozgat through the semi-structured interview form, how the participants perceived the situation they experienced in the topics of “the effect of disability conditions on employment processes, working times, employment processes of the disabled people, problems they face in business life and suggestions for improving the employment of disabled people” and It is aimed to understand what they make sense with their own expressions. In this study, the problems experienced by women with disabilities through their employment processes were investigated by associating them with the concept of gender.
