İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi (İGÜSBD) Cilt 5, Sayı 1, Nisan 2018: Sayı Dosyası

Abstract

Kıymetli Okuyucularımız; Bilgi ve değer üretilmesine katkı vermek; akademik yayıncılıkta nitelikli bir referans kaynağı olmak; ekolojik, ekonomik ve sosyal sürdürülebilirliği öncelemek genç dergimizin öncelikli hedefleridir. Yayın hayatına başladığı günden bu yana bu hedeflerin ancak ve ancak ilkeli yayıncılık politikası, bilim ve ifade özgürlüğüne saygı, bilim ve araştırma etiği ilkelerine koşulsuz bağlılık ile gerçekleştirilebileceğine inancı tam olan ekiplerin gayreti ile yönetilmiş olan İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi’nin editör kurulu nöbetini devralmaktan dolayı heyecanlıyız. Anılan hedeflere, tıpkı bizden önceki nöbet erbabı gibi, biz de dergimizin yayın politika ve ilkelerine sıkı sıkıya bağlı kalarak yürüyeceğiz. Elinizdeki Nisan 2018 sayısı ile birlikte İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi’nin editör heyetinde, danışma kurulu üyelerinde, kapak ve içerik tasarımında, yayın ve hakem kurullarında ve -bu sayıdan sonra uygulanmak üzere- atıf sisteminde değişikliklere gidilmiştir. Bu değişikliklerin bir kısmı, kararlı bir şekilde hedeflediğimiz en saygın endeksler tarafından izlenen dergi olmak hedefimiz doğrultusunda, bir kısmı teknolojik değişimlerin sağladığı imkânlardan yararlanmak için, bir kısmı da estetik kaygılarla yapılmıştır. Bu sayı ve anılan değişiklikleri gerçekleştirmek için yayın ekibimizin mensupları çok emek harcadı. Her birine ayrı ayrı müteşekkiriz. Ülkemiz; evrensel bilimi izlemek ve dünya bilgi üretimine katkı sağlamak konusunda nice zamandır arzu ettiği seviyelerde değildi. İyi dergicilik; bilgi ve değer üretmeye, disiplinlerarası ve ekoller arası tartışmaya, bilgiyi sistematize ederek süzgeçten geçirmeye zemin ve imkân sağlamaktadır. Dolayısıyla biz, iyi dergiciliği, hem evrensel bilgi üretimine, hem de ülkemiz biliminin gelişimine katkı imkânı olarak görmekteyiz. Bu anlayışla İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi editörlüğü görevini devralıyor bizden önceki meslektaşlarımıza kıymetli emekleri için teşekkür ediyoruz. Saygılarımızla. To the Respected Readers of IGUJSS; Contributing to the production of knowledge and creation of value; be a qualified reference source in academic publishing; and giving priority to ecological, economic and social sustainability are the primary goals of our young journal. Since the day of its first issue, the editorial teams of the IGUJSS has unconditionally believed that these goals can only be achieved through respect for freedom of science and freedom of speech as well as unconditional commitment to the ethical codes of research and publication. As the new editorial team, we are excited to take over the editorial duty of the Istanbul Gelişim University Journal of Social Sciences and we will walk to the goals of the journal by strictly adhering to the publishing policies and principles of our journal, just as our predecessors did before. Along with April 2018 issue, changes have been made in the editorial board of the IGUJSS, members of the advisory board, in the design of its cover and content, in the publication and rewiever procedures, and in the citation system used. Some of these changes have been made with aesthetic concerns some others in order to take advantage of the opportunities provided by technological changes, and others in order to be a journal to be followed by the most esteemed indexes that we have aimed for decisively. The members of our publishing team have spent a lot of effort to realize the noted changes. We are grateful to each one individually. Turkey’s contribution to world scientific knowledge production in social sciences is still modest. Good quality academic journals provide an opportunity to increase production and dissemination of knowledge and value, to interdisciplinary and inter-school debate, to systemize and filter the information. Therefore, we see good quality academic journals as an opportunity to contribute both to universal knowledge production and to the development of our country's science. With this understanding, we take over the task of editing the Istanbul Gelişim University Journal of Social Sciences.
