Hastanelerde Çalışan Hemşirelerin İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Konusundaki Bilgi ve Farkındalık Düzeylerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Hastaneler iş sağlığı ve güvenliği kapsamında çok tehlikeli sınıfta yer almaktadır. Hemşireler ise görevleri nedeni ile her zaman için ciddi bir sağlık riski ile karşı karşıya kalabilmektedirler. Hem ağır iş yükü altında çalışmakta hem de tehlikeli hastalıklar taşıyan hasta bireylerle her an iç içe olup, korunmaları gereken radyoaktif cihazlar ve toksik ilaçlara maruz kalabilmektedirler. Çalışmamız, hastanede çalışan hemşirelerin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda bilgi ve farkındalık düzeylerini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı olarak planlanan araştırma, Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi'nde çalışan 489 hemşirenin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Hemşirelerin bireysel ve çalışma yaşamına ilişkin özellikleri, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda bilgi ve farkındalık düzeyleri ile maruz kaldıkları iş kazaları ve meslek hastalıklarının görülme sıklığı, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği önlemlerinden memnuniyet durumlarına ilişkin veriler anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Çalışma için hastaneden ve ankete katılmayı kabul eden personelden sözlü izin alınmıştır. Çalışmamıza katılan hemşirelerin çalışma sürelerinden ve görev dağılımından memnun oldukları, iş yükünden ve hızından memnun olmadıkları görülmektedir. %54,6'sı sağlık güvenlik önlemlerinden memnunken, %45,4'ü memnun değildir. Çalışan güvenlik eğitimlerinden ise grubun %48,1'i memnun, %51,9'u memnun değildir. Çalışmamıza katılan hemşirelerin yarısından fazlası, kurumunda mesleki bir hastalık veya iş kazası geçirmiştir. Bulunduğu kurumda çalışan güvenliği komitesinin var olduğunu bilen hemşire oranı %49,7'dir. Hasta ve Çalışan Güvenliğinin Sağlanmasına Dair Yönetmelik'i okuyan hemşire oranı ise %42,3'tür. Elde edilen veriler ışığında, hastanelerde iş sağlığı ve güvenliğine yönelik, sağlık sektörüne rehberlik edebilecek öneriler ortaya konulmuştur Anahtar Kelimeler: Hemşire, iş sağlığı, iş güvenliği, hastane, farkındalık.

Hospitals are considered as one of the most dangerous work environments when it comes to job health and safety. Because of their employment, nurses are exposed to serious health risks all the time. Their job not only includes serious work load, but they are also forced to be around patients with contagious and dangerous diseases as well as radioactive devices and toxic drugs that they need to be protected from. Our study was made to determine the level of awareness and knowledge of nurses who work at hospitals, about their own job health and safety. The descriptive study was carried out at "Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital" with 489 nurses who work at the hospital. The data about the nurses' private and employment attributes; their awareness and knowledge of job health and safety; the number of occupational accidents; the frequency of job-related illnesses; and their satisfaction level about safety measures for job health and safety were gathered by survey. Verbal permission was taken from the hospital and the employees who participated in the survey. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the nurses who participated in the study are satisfied with their work times and task distribution, but are unsatisfied with the work load and speed. 54,6% of the participants are satisfied with health safety measures whereas 45,4% is not. 48,1% of the group is satisfied with employee safety training programs and 51,9% is not. More than half the nurses who participated in our study have either been in an occupational accident or have experienced a job-related illness. %49,7 of the participants know about the comitee of worker safety. %42,3 of the participants read the notification of the provision of patient and worker.
