Abstract

Periferik işitme organlarından gelen işitsel stimülüslerin, koklear nükleuslardan primer ve sekonder işitme alanlarına kadar olan işitmeyle ilgili merkez sinir sisteminde işlemlenmesine İşitsel İşlemleme denilmektedir. Bu işlemler sesin yönünü belirleme, zamansal özelliklerin çözümlenmesi, frekans, faz ve şiddet özelliklerinin çözümlenmesi, işitsel hafıza ve işitsel dikkat olarak özetlenebilir. İşitsel işlemlemenin bu basamakların herhangi bir yerinde aksamasıyla İşitsel İşlemleme Bozuklukları oluşmaktadır. İşitme sürecinin bu aşaması, başta odyologlar ve Kulak-Burun-Boğaz hekimleri olmak üzere konuyla ilgili çocuk gelişimi, pratisyen ve aile hekimleri, nöroloji, psikiyatri, psikoloji uzmanları tarafından çok tanınmamaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı öncelikle ilgili tarafların dikkatini bu konuya çekmektir

The processing of auditory stimuli from peripheral hearing organs in the central nervous system related to hearing from cochlear nuclei to primary and secondary hearing areas is called auditory processing. These processes can be summarized as voice direction determination, analysis of temporal properties, analysis of frequency, phase and intensity characteristics, auditory memory and auditory attention. At any point in these steps of auditory processes, auditory processing disorders occur. This phase of the hearing process is not well recognized by the experts on child development, practitioners and family physicians, neurology, psychiatry, psychologists, especially audiologists and Ear-Nose-Throat physicians. The aim of this compilation is primarily to attract the attention of interested in this issue
