| dc.description.abstract | Charging Methods in Electric and Hybrid Vehicles - Today, while electric and hybrid vehicles are rapidly spreading in the market, charging systems are also seen as an important factor. Charging methods in electric and hybrid vehicles are divided into levels according to some situations. Electric vehicle charging methods are divided into three main groups as level 1, level 2 and level 3 (Cogen, 2010; Morrow et al., 2008). In addition to these methods, wireless charging technique (Satılmış, 2011) and battery replacement Quick Drop technique have also been added and are among the recent studies (Erhan et al., 2013). In the Level 1 charging method, vehicles are usually parked in residences or workplaces and can be charged for a long time. For this reason, it is also known as the slow charging method.
