Abstract

IGU'S DEPARTMENT OF MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE 23RD INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON METALLURGY AND MATERIALS The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Istanbul Gelişim University will participate in the 23rd International Congress on Metallurgy and Materials, to be held at the Istanbul Expo Center on October 22–24, 2026, with three scientific papers. At the Nanomaterials Symposium on October 22, Res. Asst. Ufuk ATEŞOĞLU will present two studies: the sol–gel synthesis of boron- and silver-doped hydroxyapatite (13:00–13:20, Blue Hall), and the production of aluminum-matrix composites reinforced with SiC and Al₂O₃ nanoparticles (14:20–14:40, Blue Hall). At the Composite and Polymer Materials Symposium on October 23 (15:40–16:00, Purple Hall), student Ahmet Melih ALBAYRAK will present the study on thermoplastic-matrix composites reinforced with boron-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Through these studies on various material groups, the Department of Mechatronics Engineering contributes to the scientific exchange at the congress.
