This chapter presents a comprehensive overview of the utilization of various types of slag as both aggregates and supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), while delving into the associated benefits. This chapter extensively examines the research conducted on different slag types, thoroughly analyzing their microstructural, mechanical, and durability characteristics, in addition to highlighting their environmental advantages.
