Özet
Küçükçekmece Municipality, hanged posters in many districts in order to draw attention to violence and murders against women. Citizens living in the district, however, reacted by saying that the expressions used in posters affect the psychology of their children. Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevcan Karakoç Demirkaya said that such posters have a negative impact on children’s mental health. Posters prepared by Küçükçekmece Municipality was hanged posters about violence and murders against women on the billboards at different points of the county days ago. The posters include the words such as “my grandfather killed my mother, my fiancé killed me, my son killed my daughter, my husband killed my daughter, my son killed me, my ex-husband killed me, my father killed my mother”. Citizens reacted to the expressions in the posters on the main streets, streets and billboards in front of the schools. Parents are uneasy and state that they cannot explain the situation children see the poster.
