IGU Makes Its Mark at TEKNOFEST SOUTHEAST 2026: 3 Medals for Innovative Inventions! Gold Medal for IGU’s Invention on Artificial Intelligence Security IGU’s invention titled “Multimodal Artificial Intelligence Security Layer” was awarded a gold medal at ISIF 2026. The invention was developed by Yahya Kemal KIRAN, Director of the IGU Technology Transfer Office; M. Sencer KAÇAR, TTO Engineer; and IGU students Yusuf Enes GÜLTEKİN and Fatma KURT. Focusing on security in multimodal artificial intelligence systems, the project stood out with its innovative approach to ensuring the safe and reliable use of artificial intelligence technologies. Bronze Medal for an Image Processing-Based Measurement System IGU’s invention titled “Image Processing-Based Multi-Manometer Reading System” was awarded a bronze medal at the fair. The inventors were Prof. Dr. Adil YÜKSELEN; Yahya Kemal KIRAN, Director of the IGU Technology Transfer Office; Research Assistant H. Furkan ÇELİK from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture; and Eren DOKUMACI, Assistant Specialist at the TTO. Developed to enable the rapid, simultaneous, and digital acquisition of measurement values from multiple analog manometers, the system captures images of a 32-channel manometer panel using a camera and detects the liquid level in each channel individually. Perspective correction, brightness balancing, and level detection are applied to the images, while machine learning support is used to filter out inaccurate or unreliable measurements. By converting the collected data into pressure values and displaying and recording them digitally, the system aims to provide faster, more systematic, and more reliable data monitoring in laboratory tests and industrial applications.
