DO OUR ANESTHESIA TECHNICIANS KNOW THEIR LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES? Article 137 of the Inpatient Treatment Institutions Operation Regulation expresses the duties and powers as follows: 'Under the responsibility of the anesthesiologist or, in his absence, the specialist in charge of the operating room, he does what is necessary to ensure that the surgery and anesthesia are concluded safely and comfortably, following with the instructions of these and the specialist performing the surgery.'
