Türk medyasında Orta Doğu meseleleri: TRT Haber'de yayınlanan Irak haberlerinin analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada TRT Haber'in Irak'ta yaşanan gelişmeleri ele alma şekli, haber kurgusunda odağa yerleştirdiği unsurların tespiti, haber içeriklerinde hangi bilgi kaynaklarının kullanıldığının ve haberin nasıl çerçevelendiğinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Genel tarama modeline göre yürütülen çalışmada Ocak 2021 - Mart 2022 arasında TRT Haber'in ana haber bülteninde Irak'ı konu alan haber içerikleri haberlerin sunulmasında kullanılan sözcükler, görüntüler, bunların uzunluğu ve vurgusu, olumlu ya da olumsuz değer içerme durumu ve hangi sıralamada verildiği gibi hususlar açısından iletişim çalışmalarında sıkça uygulanan içerik analizi metodu kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda TRT Haber'in Irak'ı konu alan haberlerinin Türkiye'nin kuzey Irak'taki operasyonun yeri konularda kamuoyunu bilgilendirici nitelikteki haberler olduğu, bu haberlerin güvenlik, politika ve ekonomi kategorisinde yer alan haberler olduğu ve haberlerin öznesinin siyasal aktörler ve Türk güvenlik güçleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, it is aimed to determine the way TRT News handles the developments in Iraq, to determine the elements that it focuses on in the news fiction, to determine which information sources are used in the news content and how the news is framed. In the study carried out according to the general scanning model, between January 2021 and March 2022, the news content about Iraq in the main news bulletin of TRT News, the words used in the presentation of the news, the length and emphasis of them, the status of containing positive or negative values and the order in which they were given. analyzed using the content analysis method, which is frequently used in communication studies. At the end of the research, it has been determined that TRT's news about Iraq is news that informs the public about the location of Turkey's operation in northern Iraq, that these news are news in the category of security, politics and economy, and that the subject of the news is political actors and Turkish security forces.
