ERP promises in improving efficiency of business processes. However, inappropriate software selection results in a very complex managerial problem which is implementation of ERP software. To reduce the relevant risk, ERP software purchasers need to determine conformance of the software to their requirements. This study aims to define the requirement levels of external quality characteristics and provide a guide to production systems to evaluate ERP software in a systematic manner.
