Bu amaç doğrultusunda, kapitalist sisteme entegre olduğu düşünülen 2 sanatçı belirlenmiş (Andy WARHOL ve Bedri BAYKAM) ve eserleri detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiş olup, kapitalizmin izleri tespit edilmiştir. Kavramsal/Kuramsal Çerçeve: Belirlenen sanatçıların sanat felsefeleri ve sanatın metalaşması konusundaki görüşleri değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma da felsefi bağlamda, kapitalizm olgusu ile hayatımızda ki her yöne etki etmeyi başarmış olan, metalaştırmanın sanata etkileri incelenmiş olup, kapitalist sisteme eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla bakılarak, alana katkı sağlaması açısından ayrıca önem arz etmektedir. Yöntem: Bu araştırmada, literatür taraması ile elde edilen verilerin içerik tekniği analizi kullanılarak analiz edilmiş olup, Türkçe ve yabancı kaynaklar taranmıştır. Çalışmada kapitalizmin sanat üzerindeki etkisi, Batı’dan Andy Warhol ve Doğu’dan Bedri Baykam’ın eserleri üzerinden ele alınarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Her sanatçıdan kapitalizm temasını barındıran iki eser seçilmiş ve bu eserler içerik, biçim ve bağlam açısından incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Bu araştırma kapsamında ele alınan 2 sanatçının sermaye, kendi pazarını oluşturma, sanat eserlerini metalaştırma, medya ve kendi pazarını yaratma konusunda bağlantılı olduğu görülmektedir. Sonuç: Kapitalist düzen içerinde meydana gelen değişimler önce insanda daha sonrada yayılarak geniş perspektifte toplumlardaki değişimlerde görülebilmektedir. Kültürel dezenformasyonun bilerek ve istenerek bozulması sonucu olan paradigmalar neticesinde, sistem sürekli alım yönünde baskı uygular. Sonuç olarak bu düzene uyum sağlayamayan sanatçıların, sistem dışına itilebileceği ve bunun sonucunda da birçok değerin sanat açısından yok olabileceği ya da yok olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Purpose: The aim of this research is to examine the phenomenon of commoditized capitalism in Contemporary Art and to analyze it from a critical perspective through artistic works. For this purpose, two artists who are thought to be integrated into the capitalist system (Andy WARHOL and Bedri BAYKAM) were identified and their works were examined in detail and traces of capitalism were identified. Literature Review/Background: The selected artists' philosophies of art and their views on the commodification of art were evaluated. In the research, in a philosophical context, the effects of commodification on art, which has managed to affect every aspect of our lives with the phenomenon of capitalism, are examined, and it is also important in terms of contributing to the field by looking at the capitalist system from a critical perspective. Method: In this study, the data obtained through literature review was analyzed using content analysis technique, and Turkish and foreign sources were scanned. In the study, the effect of capitalism on art was compared by considering the works of Andy Warhol from the West and Bedri Baykam from the East. Two works containing the theme of capitalism were selected from each artist and these works were examined in terms of content, form and context. Findings: It is seen that the two artists discussed within the scope of this research are connected in terms of capital, creating their own market, commodifying their works of art, media and creating their own market. Conclusion: The changes that occur within the capitalist order can first be seen in people and then spread to the changes in societies in a broad perspective. As a result of knowingly and deliberately disrupting cultural disinformation and paradigms, the system constantly exerts pressure on purchases.
