On Thursday, May 25, on the film “Mimaroğlu: The Robinson of Manhattan Island”, about the important name of electronic avant-garde music İlhan Mimaroğlu, with Director Serdar Kökçeoğlu, as part of the “Social Memory and Documentary” lecture given by Asst. Prof. Dr. İpek Gürkan, from the Department of Television Journalism and Programming. A production that is different from traditional musician documentaries and pushes the boundaries of documentary cinema, “Mimaroğlu” focuses on the life of the musician by bringing together archive and actual images with the artist's own music and sound recordings.
