Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenlerinin ve Beden Eğitimi Dersi Alan Lise Öğrencilerinin Çevresel Boş Zaman Etkinliklerine Katılımlarının Çevreye Yönelik Tutumları İle İlişkisi, Ankara İli Sincan İlçesi Örneği

Abstract

Beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin ve beden eğitimi dersi alan lise öğrencilerinin çevresel boş zaman etkinliklerine katılımlarının, çevreye yönelik tutumları ile ilişkisinin incelendiği araştırmada, Ankara, Sincan’da görev yapan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinden araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 39 öğretmen ile ilçede öğrenim gören ve beden eğitimi dersi alan lise öğrencilerinden rastgele seçilen 723 öğrenciye Çevre Tutum Ölçeği ve Çevresel Boş Zaman Etkinliklerine Katılım Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; SPPS 15.0 programından faydalanılmış, ortalama değerlere ve frekans dağılımlarına bakılarak betimsel sonuçlar sunulmuş, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), t-testi ve Pearson Product Moment Korelasyon testlerinden faydalanılarak istatistiksel bulgular verilmiştir. Bulgular, katılımcı öğretmen ve öğrencilerin çevreye yönelik olumlu tutumlara sahip olduklarını göstermiştir. Çevresel boş zaman etkinliklerine katılmak için çok fazla vakit bulamadıklarını belirtmelerine rağmen, katılımcıların gelişmeleri medyadan takip edebildikleri ve edindikleri bilgileri arkadaşlarıyla paylaşma çabası içinde oldukları görülmüştür. Boş zaman etkinliklerine katılım ile çevreye yönelik tutum arasında öğrenciler için ters korelasyon bulunurken, öğretmenler için anlamlı bir korelasyon bulunamamıştır.

In this study, the relationship between participation to environmental spare time activities and environmental attitudes of the physical education teachers and the high school students who take physical education course was investigated. The volunteer PE teachers and the randomly selected 723 students from various high schools in Sincan district of Ankara, who took the course, were the sample of the study. Environmental Attitudes Questionnaire and Participation to Environmental Spare Time Activities Questionnaire were used. To analyze the data collected through these instruments, SPSS 15.0 statistical analyses package program is used. Descriptive results are presented through the mean scores and frequency distributions, and inferential results are analyzed through one-way ANOVA, t-test and Pearson Product Moment Correlation tests. Results show that both the PE teachers and the students, who took the course, had positive attitudes towards environment. Although, both the teachers and students stated that they do not spend enough time to participate in environmental spare time activities; they say that they can follow the environmental issues from the media and they try to share their knowledge about the environment with their friends. While a significant negative correlation was found between participation to environmental spare time activities and environmental attitudes for the students, no significant correlation can be found for the teachers.
