Ergenlerde sosyal görünüş kaygısının umutsuzluk düzeyi ve kilo özellikleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Ergenlik, birçok gelişimin yaşandığı kritik öneme sahip bir dönem olması sebebiyle ülkemizde ve Dünya'da pek çok araştırmaya konu olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ergenlik döneminde sosyal görünüş kaygısının umutsuzluk düzeyi ve kilo özellikleri ile arasında bir ilişkinin olup olmadığı sorusuna cevap aramaktadır. Çalışmamız, betimsel ve ilişkisel tarama modeline uygun olarak hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma, araştırmacının hazırladığı "Sosyodemografik Veri Formu", "Sosyal Görünüş Kaygısı Ölçeği" ve "Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği" kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulguların değerlendirilmesinde, istatistiksel analizler için SPSS 22.0 İstatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar %95 güven aralığında ve p<0,05 anlamlılık düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul ili Avcılar ilçesinde eğitimine devam etmekte olan 9., 10., 11. ve 12. sınıflara devam eden yaklaşık 18.172 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Avcılar Anadolu Lisesi (AAL), Fatih Sultan Mehmet İmam Hatip Lisesi (FSMİHL) ve Kemal Atay Teknik ve Endüstri Meslek Lisesi'ne (KATEML) devam etmekte olan öğrencilerden basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile toplam 1411 öğrenci çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir BKİ ile Sosyal Görünüş Kaygısı (SGK) arasında anlamlı düzeyde ilişki bulunmuştur. SGK ve Umutsuzluk Toplam ve alt boyutları arasında da anlamlı düzeyde bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Ergenlerin BKİ ile SGK ve Umutsuzluk düzeyleri arasında anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Okulların Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık birimlerinin, öğretmenlerin ve özellikle ailelerin bu konularda ergenlere gerekli desteği vermeleri önemlidir. İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüklerinin de bu dönem yaşanan böylesi kritik sorunlara karşı yeni projeler geliştirerek, ergenlere ulaşması ve olası riskli davranış ve intihar olasılığını minimum düzeye indirme çalışmaları yapması önerilmektedir.

The results were evaluated at 95% confidence interval, p <0.05 significance level. The study's universe constitutes approximately 18 thousands of students studying at the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th classes who continue their education in Avcılar, İstanbul. A total of 1411 students were included in the study with a simple random sampling method from students attending Avcılar Anatolian High School (AAL), Fatih Sultan Mehmet Imam Hatip High School (FSMİHL) and Kemal Atay Technical and Industrial Vocational High School (KATEML) Significant correlation was found between BMI and SGK. SGK and Hopelessness A significant relationship was found between the total and sub-dimensions. There was a significant relationship between the BGS of the ages and the SSI and Hopelessness levels It is important that the guidance and psychological counseling units of the schools, the teachers, and especially the parents provide the necessary support for the adolescents in these matters. District National Education Directorates are also recommended to develop new projects against such critical problems in this period, to reach adolescents and to minimize the possibility of risky behavior and suicide.
