Devlet okulundan koleje geçen öğrencilerin habitus kavramı bağlamında sosyolojik açıdan değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bireyin ve toplumun yaşamını inşa etme gücüne sahip olan eğitimin hayatımızdaki rolü yadsınamaz. Öyle ki, eğitimin bu rolü bireyin kişiliğini geliştirmesi, yeteneklerini geliştirmesi, mesleki bir kariyer sağlaması ve diploma kazandırması bakımından ebeveynlerin de çocukların hayatında müdahale ettikleri ciddi bir süreçtir. Okul seçiminde etkili olan lokasyon, ücret, donanım ve sosyal imkanlar haricinde dikkat çekmesi gereken bir dizi önemli husus vardır. Bu hususlar devlet okulundan özel okula geçiş sağlayan öğrencinin hayatında bireyin kendisini onaylanmış hissetmesi konusunda önemli bir rol oynar. Mevcut bir alt kültür deneyimiyle devlet okulundan özel okula geçmiş öğrenci için kimlik karmaşası baş gösterdiğinde alt kültürün mevcut kimliğini ve özgünlüğünü koruması ya da baskın kültüre uyum sağlaması gerekmektedir. Aynı gerçeklik içinde her zaman bir arada var olan ilişkiler olarak tanımlanan habitusun sınıf kültürlerini etkileyip tercihleri şekillendirme durumu söz konusu olmaktadır. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada kültürler arası bir farkındalık yaratılmasıyla birlikte hem mevcut sahip olunan kültürel kimliğe zarar gelmemesi, ve sosyal dönüşümün gerçekleştirilebilmesi için içerisinde kültürel çeşitliliği de barındıran eğitim programları, psikolojik ve sosyolojik destek verici envanterleri, habitusları değişime uğrayan öğrencilerin bu sosyalizasyon sürecini nasıl yönettikleri veya yönetemedikleri ile ilgili yaklaşımları, eğitim kurumunda yaşadıkları çatışma, kimlik değişimi, adaptasyon ve problem çözme durumları ele alınıp değerlendirilecektir.

The role of education, which has the power to build the life of the individual and society, is undeniable. So that this role of education is a serious process in which parents also intervene in the lives of children in terms of developing the personality of the individual, improving their abilities, providing a professional career and gaining a diploma. Apart from the location, price, equipment and social facilities that are effective in school selection, there are a number of important issues that should be noted. These issues play an important role in the life of the student who makes the transition from public school to private school. School belonging, which is defined as the experiences that the individual sees himself/herself as valuable and important, is the starting point of this process. Identity confusion begins for the student who has transferred from a public school to a private school with an existing subculture experience. When this situation arises, the subculture needs to preserve its current identity and originality or adapt to the dominant culture. Habitus, which is defined as relationships that always coexist in the same reality, affects class cultures and shapes preferences. Consequently, in this study, with the creation of an intercultural awareness, educational programs that include cultural diversity in order to protect the existing cultural identity and realize social transformation, psychological and sociological supportive inventories, the approaches of the students whose habitus have changed, how they manage or not manage this socialization process, identity change, adaptation , conflict and problem solving situations they experience in their institution will be discussed and evaluated.
