Otizmli bireylere hareket eğitimi veren beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin yaşadıkları problemler ve çözüm önerileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, otizmli bireyler ile çalışan beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin çalışma alanında ve çalışma sürecinde yaşadıkları sorunları saptamaktır. Araştırma, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin öznel düşüncelerini kapsamaktadır. Otizm tanısı almış birey ile çalışmanın getirmiş olabileceği zorluklar ve bu zorluklar ile mücadelede nasıl yöntemler kullanıldığına dair cevaplar aranmaktadır. Beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin problemlere karşı çözüm önerileri sunmaları beklenmektedir. Araştırma İstanbul ilindeki 20 beden eğitimi öğretmeninin gönüllü katılımı ile sağlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nitel boyutu, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile elde edilen verilerin betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmesini ve yorumlanmasını içermektedir. Çalışmada sorulan 14 sorunun her bir cevabı için kategoriler oluşturulmuştur. Soruların cevapları toplam 33 kategoride analiz edilmiştir. Bu analizler sonucunda otizmli bireylere hareket eğitimi veren beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin hedef programlarını uygulamada yaşadıkları zorluklar, yaşadıkları sorunlara karşı yaklaşımları ve kullandıkları öğretim modelleri gibi ders gidişatını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca ailenin eğitimci üzerindeki etkisi, maddi olanaklar ve psikolojik faktörlerin belirlenmesi esas olarak alınmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine the problems experienced by physical education teachers working with individuals with autism. The research includes the subjective thoughts of physical education teachers. The difficulties of working with individuals with autism are explored and answers are sought in how to tackle these issues by looking into methods used for these issues. Physical education teachers are expected to offer solutions to problems. The research was carried out with the voluntary participation of 20 physical education teachers in Istanbul. Qualitative research method and semi-structured interview technique were used in this research. The qualitative dimension of the research includes the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained by the semi-structured interview form with the descriptive analysis method. Categories were created for the answers given to the 14 questions asked with the interview. The answers to the questions were analyzed in 33 categories. As a result of these analyzes, factors were researched affecting the progress of the education program such as difficulties experienced by the physical education teachers themselves in applying their target programs, their approaches to the problems they experience, and the teaching models they use. In addition, the effect of the family on the educator, financial opportunities and determining the psychological factors were taken as the basis.
