Sosyal Hizmet Kuruluşlarından Hizmet Alanlar Yoluyla Çalışanlara Uygulanan Şiddet ve Çalışanların Üzerindeki Psikolojik Etkisi

Abstract

Bir meslek olarak sosyal hizmet bir dayanışma ve yardım etme mesleğidir. Dolayısıyla, bireylerin sorun çözme ve baş etme kapasitesini geliştirme amacını taşır. Sosyal hizmet çalışanları da toplumla yakın iletişimde bulunarak bireylere hizmet sunmaktadır. Bu nedenle, her alanda olduğu gibi sosyal hizmet alanında çalışanlar da şiddete maruz kalabilmektedir. Dolayısıyla sosyal hizmet çalışanlarının, bu alandaki aileler, gruplar ve toplumla sorun yaşamaları kaçınılmazdır. Bu bağlamda, yapılan bu tez çalışmasının amacı, sosyal hizmet kuruluşlarından hizmet alanlar yoluyla çalışanlara uygulanan şiddet ve çalışanların üzerindeki psikolojik etkisinin incelenmesidir. Konuyla ilişkili herhangi bir çalışma literatürde yer almadığından, bu araştırma sosyal hizmetler alanında çalışanlara yönelik şiddete karşı kamuoyu oluşturması ve çalışanların devlet güvencesi altına alınması açısından önemlidir. Çalışmada 156 katılımcı yer almıştır. Kısa Semptom Envanteri kullanılmış ve veriler SPSS istatistik programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda çalışanların özellikle mobbing ve sözel şiddete maruz kaldıkları görülmüştür. Anahtar Kelimeler: Sosyal Hizmet, Çalışanlar, Şiddet

As an occupation, "social services" is an occupation of solidarity and assistance. Consequently, it aims to developed abilities of solving and cope with problems of people. People working on that are provides services to people via getting in touch with people. As at other occupations, employees may face with violence. It is unavoidable for employees of social services to work without facing problems with families, groups and society in general. Aim of that study is evaluating violence applied against employees of social services via people they get in touch and psychological effects of violence on employees of social services. As a result of the fact that there is not any study about the topic, this study becomes important thanks to inform people about violence towards people working at social services and providing government security for those people. 156 employees participated in the study. Short Symptom Inventory is used and data was evaluated using SPSS statistic program. At the end of the study, it is seen that mobbing and oral violence are widely faced by those employyes working for social services. Key Words: Social Services, Employees, Violence
