yöntemi ile seçilmiş 25’i erkek, 25’i kız öğrenci olmak üzere toplamda 50 öğrenci
The aim of this thesis is to examine whether the physical activities of prepubertal
children between 7-10 years of age have an effect on physical and performance
parameters. The sampling group consists of 50 students, 25 of whom are male and 25
of which are female, selected by random sampling method. These selected students
consist of 13 boys and 12 girls, 25 of them participating in out-of-school sports
activities and 25 of them, 12 boys and 13 girls, who do not participate in any out-ofschool sports activities .
The tests found in the Eurofit test battery were used to compare the physical fitness of
boys and girls, who participated in out-of-school sports activities and those who did
not. These tests; Flamingo balance test, 30 second shuttle test, 20 meter speed test,
vertical jump test, stand long jump test, medicine ball throwing test and flexibility test.
SPSS 24.0 package program was used for statistical analysis in this study. The average
and standard deviation of the measurements made on all subjects in the study were
calculated. The normality test was performed between the groups participating and not
participating in out-of-school sports activities and it was determined that the groups
showed normal distribution. Independent Samples T Test was used to determine the
difference between groups. Statistically, p <0.01 and p <0.05 were accepted as
significance levels.
When the findings of the study were examined, a statistically significant difference
was found at the level of p< 0,05 in the balance, medicine ball throwing, sit-up, vertical
jump, standing long jump and 20 m speed performances of boys and girls participating
in an out-of-school sports activity.
As a result, it supports the development of balance performance in addition to basic
motor abilities such as strength, endurance and speed in boys and girls participating in
out-of-school sports activities.
