The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the existence of the relationship between self-leadership and organizational commitment. Nowadays, many firms aim to adopt a new leadership model that drives all employees at the organizational level to be more responsible for their own work, in the shadow of economic uncertainty and fierce competition. For this reason, the traditional upper leadership paradigm has moved away from the search for different types of leadership behaviors. One of these different types of leadership is self-leadership. In today's conditions, the most suitable leader has turned into a worker who can direct others to his leadership and also focus on success without the need for a director. In the first part of this study, leadership, leadership and self-leadership were conceptually addressed and different selfleadership strategies were included. Self-leadership comes to the forefront because of the importance of employees who are motivated and autocontroled, especially considering increased flexibility in working hours and variations in working life. The concept of organizational commitment describes attitudes that prevent the behavior that would not be desired by employers, such as job separation, job slowdown, job avoidance and absenteeism. Since employees can influence each other, it has become important to identify and support employees who are highly committed within the organization. In the second part of this study, the concept of organizational commitment was examined, the main loyalty approaches were discussed and the importance of organizational commitment was mentioned. For the application part of the research, Istanbul Esenyurt Necmi Kadıoğlu State Hospital was chosen. The data were obtained by questionnaires and statistical analysis was performed. Due to the intensity of the patient traffic, 142 employee questionnaires could be administered. Data analyzes were done in SPSS 20 program and the result tables were interpreted. In the study, it is concluded that there is a moderate and positive relationship between self-leadership and organizational commitment. It is envisaged that the interaction between self-leadership and organizational commitment in the light of the data obtained leads the directors.en_US
