| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Artists are obliged to sell their work as well as produce them in 21st century. Discussions about “art for art’s sake” and “art for business sake” in the art market prove this obligation. In this context, customer or art oriented marketing approach is replaced to product-oriented approach, that is accepted as a common ground, in contemporary art environment. In other words, instead of customer-oriented products or the products that ignore customer needs approaches, a new type of marketing approach, that seek the customer who interests in the products, is widely spread and accepted recently. In this direction, it is come to a conclusion that the public should be informed about artist and his/her work. This conclusion shows that it is necessary to focus on marketing and promotion in art market. Within the public relation activities as a branch of marketing and promotion, there is invisible parts that include communication, corporate structure and behaviors, beside the visible part of a company/artist’s corporate identity (such as name, logo etc.). In this research, It is tried to explain the importance of these visible and invisible parts of the art marketing and promotion. | en_US |
