GREAT SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS IN THE FINAL EXAM WEEK FROM ISTANBUL GELISIM UNIVERSITY!
Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) continues to provide both physical and moral
support to its students during the final exams. The university continues to be
with the students before the final exams to be held between 10-21 June 2025. The
Health Sciences Library (SBK), located in the Rectorate Building (A Block), provides
24-hour uninterrupted service on weekdays during the exam week. Hot soup is
offered throughout the night for students who use the library between 17.30 and
08.00.

İSTANBUL GELIŞIM ÜNIVERSITESI’NDEN FINAL HAFTASINDA ÖĞRENCILERE SICAK DESTEK!
İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi (İGÜ), final sınavları sürecinde öğrencilerine hem
fiziksel hem de moral desteği sağlamaya devam ediyor. 10-21 Haziran 2025 tarihleri
arasında gerçekleşecek final sınavları öncesinde, üniversite öğrencilerin yanında
olmayı sürdürüyor. Rektörlük Binası (A Blok) içerisinde yer alan Sağlık Bilimleri
Kütüphanesi (SBK), sınav haftası boyunca hafta içi 24 saat kesintisiz hizmet veriyor.
Kütüphaneyi akşam 17.30 ile sabah 08.00 saatleri arasında kullanan öğrenciler için
ise gece boyunca sıcak çorba ikramı sunuluyor.

Istanbul Gelsm Unversty, Faculty of Fne Arts hosted an mpressve event focusng on
creatve dscplnes on May 26, 2025, as part of the “Sklls of the Future” project. The event
ttled “Pushng the Boundares of Creatvty: New Ways of Thnkng” organzed by Lecturer
Kerem Yükseloğlu addressed the mportance of dscoverng dfferent ways of thnkng and
creatve problem-solvng methods. In today’s world where creatve producton processes
n the felds of art, desgn and communcaton are ncreasngly dversfyng, the necessty
of gong beyond classcal patterns was emphaszed. The event hghlghted the vew that
creatvty s not only an ndvdual talent; t s also a process that can be developed,
drected and traned.

“YARATICILIĞIN SINIRLARINI ZORLAMAK” ETKİNLİĞİNDE YENİ DÜŞÜNME BİÇİMLERİ KEŞFEDİLDİ
İstanbul Gelşm Ünverstes Güzel Sanatlar Fakültes, “Geleceğn Becerler” projes
kapsamında 26 Mayıs 2025 tarhnde yaratıcı dsplnler odağına alan etkleyc br etknlğe
ev sahplğ yaptı. Öğr. Gör. Kerem Yükseloğlu tarafından düzenlenen “Yaratıcılığın
Sınırlarını Zorlamak: Yen Düşünme Yolları” başlıklı etknlkte, farklı düşünme bçmlern
keşfetmenn önem ve yaratıcı problem çözme yöntemler ele alındı. Sanat, tasarım ve
letşm alanlarında yaratıcı üretm süreçlernn gderek çeştlendğ günümüzde, klask
kalıpların ötesne geçmenn gerekllğ vurgulandı. Etknlkte, yaratıcılığın yalnızca breysel
br yetenek değl; aynı zamanda gelştrleblr, yönlendrleblr ve eğtleblr br süreç
olduğu görüşü öne çıktı.

"Article Workshop II" Conducted with Child Development Students
The facilitator, Research Assistant Rabia Ceren ATEŞ, discussed the importance ofthe websites to use while
searching for articles, the significance of keywords, and the process of reviewing articles in the workshop
with Child Development students. The workshop then moved on to the topics “What are research
methods? How to review an article? What are summarizing techniques?”. The title, keywords, abstract, and
introduction of a selected article were discussed. The definitions of quantitative and qualitative research
methods, as well as the research method of the selected article, were explained. Article review is a critical
evaluation of the content, method, findings, and conclusions of an academic or scientific article. In this
process, the article's purpose, methods, data obtained, and how the author reached the conclusions are
analyzed in detail. At the same time, the strengths and weaknesses of the study are identified, and any
shortcomings or controversial points are highlighted.
